Global Level 3 OMI Surface UV Irradiance and Erythemal Dose (OMUVBd)

Description:

OMUVBd is the primary Level 3 surface UV irradiance and erythemal dose product of the OMI Science Team. The "d" at the end of "OMUVBd" represents "daily". The gridded OMUVBd product file is created from three consecutive OMUVBG daily Level 2G gridded data product files. The adopted L3 grid is a 1.0° x 1.0° grid in longitude and latitude.

Gridded Level 2 OMI Surface UV Irradiance and Erythemal Dose (OMUVBG)

Description:

OMUVBG is a gridded data product file and created from (as many as) 16 orbital OMUVB Level 2 swath data product files. Each OMUVBG product file contains 24 UTC hours of OMUVB data subsetted onto a longitude-latitude grid. The adopted OMUVBG grid is a 0.25° by 0.25° grid in longitude and latitude.

Level 2 OMI Surface UV Irradiance and Erythemal Dose (OMUVB)

Description:

OMUVB uses OMTO3 total ozone data product as input data. OMUVB contains surface UV irradiance data along with ancillary information generated using the OMI global mode measurements. In this mode, each file contains the sunlit portion of a single orbit from pole-to-pole. Each measurement consists of one 60-pixel OMI scan, having width of 2600 km. The OMUVB product contains erythemally weighted daily dose, and erythemal dose rate both at the overpass time and at local solar noon. Additionally, the product includes spectral irradiances at 305.1, 310.1, 324.1, and 380.1 nm also corresponding to both the overpass time and the local solar noon. The OMUVB product is written as an HDF-EOS5 swath file. The information provided in these files includes latitude, longitude, solar zenith angle, and a large number of ancillary parameters that provide information to assess data quality. The most important of these parameters is the OMUVBQuality field, that describes the quality of the data and can be used for filtering of the data. For a complete list of the parameters, please read the OMUVB Format Specification Document below.
