Information about OMI row anomaly:
The row anomaly affects all wavelengths for a particular viewing direction of OMI. This corresponds to a binned row on the CCD detectors, and hence the Row. Several row anomalies have occurred in the recent past. These anomalies affect the quality of the Level 1B and Level 2 data products. Please, read further information carefully by following the link http://www.knmi.nl/omi/research/product/rowanomaly-background.php prior to using OMI data. Please, respect the dates mentioned as the anomalies have occurred recently.
The most prominent Row Anomalies have been masked out from the SAMPO images. The masking can be seen as a north-south gap in the data.
